Another BLUNDER, Guess Who’s Involved in AOC’s Case

New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is facing allegations of campaign finance violations and for accepting “impermissible gifts” at the Met Gala in 2021.

The Federal Election Commission conducted a two-year investigation and found that two political action committees associated with AOC’s campaign failed to properly disclose the purpose of certain disbursements. Despite the findings, the FEC voted 4-2 to dismiss a complaint against her.

Additionally, the House Office of Congressional Ethics found “substantial reason to believe” that Ocasio-Cortez may have violated federal law when she accepted “impermissible gifts” at the Met Gala. The bipartisan Board of the Office of Congressional Ethics has recommended further review of the allegations.

As citizens, we have the right to demand transparency and accountability from our elected officials. It is important that these allegations be thoroughly investigated and that appropriate action is taken if any wrongdoing is found.

We must hold our elected officials to the highest standards of integrity and ensure that our political system operates fairly and honestly.
