You’ll Be Shocked To Know Who’s Calling For Impeachment Now

A leading Republican lawmaker in the House is taking a stand against the chaos at the U.S.-Mexico border. House Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-MN) has called for the impeachment of Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. Emmer believes that Mayorkas’s failure to act as the chief border official warrants his removal from office.

In an interview with Breitbart News, Emmer expressed his frustration with the overwhelmed southern border. He sees it as a clear example of the Biden administration’s greatest malfeasance. Emmer emphasized the dire consequences of this negligence, including missing children and the presence of individuals on the terrorist watch list crossing into the country.

This call for impeachment comes after President Biden’s decision to lift the Title 42 border barrier, a policy implemented by former President Trump to address the coronavirus pandemic. Emmer believes that this move has worsened the situation at the border by removing one of the last tools available to manage illegal migration.

The numbers speak for themselves. Since President Biden took office and reversed many of Trump’s immigration and border security policies, more than five million illegal migrants have been encountered by U.S. border officials. Emmer considers this a deliberate failure to act, which he believes is grounds for impeachment.

Emmer also accuses the Biden administration of having “blood on their hands,” echoing the sentiments of Rep. Michael McCaul (R-TX). McCaul, chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, has criticized Mayorkas for not properly vetting the sponsors of migrant children, potentially leading to child abuse.

This is not the first time Republicans have pursued impeachment against Mayorkas. Articles of impeachment were filed against him in February, and Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) recently introduced a new article accusing him of violating his oath of office. Rep. Pat Fallon (R-Texas) was the first to file articles of impeachment in January.

Emmer firmly believes that this issue warrants serious consideration, regardless of the Senate’s stance. He calls for Mayorkas to either resign or face impeachment. Emmer emphasizes that the border crisis is a real issue, not a political stunt, and urges action to hold Mayorkas accountable.

It is time to restore order and secure our borders. Mayorkas must go, and impeachment may be the only way to achieve justice. The American people deserve a leader who will prioritize their safety and uphold the rule of law. Let us stand united in demanding accountability and protecting our nation.
