New information has come to light regarding the Biden family’s financial connections to Chinese companies.
Donald Trump Jr. shared his thoughts with Fox News Digital, asserting that President Biden is using TikTok as a scapegoat to distract from these ties.
He further noted that if the Trump family were involved in similar situations, the media would be crying about corruption nonstop.
Members of the Biden family reportedly received over $1 million from accounts linked to Hunter Biden’s associate, Rob Walker, and their Chinese business ventures in 2017.
Trump Jr. questions the sincerity of the Biden administration’s efforts to appear tough on China by targeting TikTok while neglecting other social media platforms that allow data to flow through China.
The House Oversight Committee’s investigation of Bank of America records revealed that at least three Biden family members received considerable payments from Rob Walker’s account, following a $3 million wire transfer he received from Chinese energy company State Energy HK Limited.
Trump Jr. emphasized the media’s double standards in covering the Biden family’s financial dealings compared to the Trump family. The latter would have faced continuous allegations of corruption and scrutiny in similar circumstances.
Considering these findings, it seems the Biden administration’s focus on TikTok might be a diversion from more significant issues.
U.S. officials and lawmakers have warned of potential risks with TikTok’s parent company, ByteDance, which is based in Beijing and could be compelled by the Chinese Communist Party to hand over American users’ data or expose them to propaganda.
